The China Forging Industry Association was officially established in July 1986 to support the development of the forging and pressing industry in China, ensure coordination among industry stakeholders, and promote technological advancement. The Association, whose origins date back to the early 1980s and the need to modernize fundamental production processes such as forging, casting, and heat treatment in the machinery industry, is a national-level industry organization that brings together industrial enterprises, research institutes, and universities.

Today, operating under the name China Forging and Pressing Association, the organization plays an active role in the development of standards, technical training, sector planning, technology transfer, and the protection of its members' rights, contributing to the sustainable development of China's forging and sheet metal forming industry.
