BASDEC

Bursa Aerospace and Defense Cluster Association (BASDEC) is a non-profit association that brings together and represents the aerospace and defense ecosystem of Bursa. Founded in 2013 under the umbrella of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and restructured as a formal association in 2015, the cluster currently includes 100 member companies.
The cluster brings together companies specialized in aerospace and defense manufacturing, leveraging Bursa’s strong industrial base in automotive, rail systems, composites, and advanced textile manufacturing. BASDEC supports the integration of these industrial capabilities into aerospace and defense supply chains.
The association works to strengthen the competitiveness of its members, promote collaboration between industry and research institutions, support innovation and product development, and facilitate access to national and international cooperation opportunities.
BASDEC maintains relations with key Turkish defense and aerospace institutions, including SSB, TAI, TEI, ASELSAN, and ROKETSAN, supporting the participation of its members in domestic and international supply chains. At the institutional level, BASDEC is a member of SSI, SASAD, and ECCP, contributing to the national and European aerospace ecosystem.
In cooperation with local universities, BASDEC also supports applied research, workforce development, and training activities aimed at strengthening the regional aerospace and defense ecosystem.
