SHERBORNE SENSORS LTD

The origins of Sherborne Sensors date back to the 1940s when Schaevitz Engineering was established in the United States, specializing in the production of LVDTs and precision sensors.

By 1974, spurred by overseas sales success, Schaevitz Engineering expanded its operations to the UK, focusing on manufacturing inertial products. Building on this success, a group of former UK Schaevitz Engineering employees acquired the inertial products business in 2002, forming Sherborne Sensors Limited.

In 2007, Sherborne Sensors diversified its product range beyond inertial sensors by acquiring the force transducer product lines and intellectual property of Maywood Instruments. This strategic move expanded the company’s capabilities.

In 2012, Sherborne Sensors became part of the Nova Metrix family through an acquisition. This integration enabled Sherborne Sensors to further extend its operations, sales channels, client support networks, and operational capabilities.
